Are you on Facebook?

If you are you need to take a look at and like the EGLR Facebook page. There is lots of info and instant updates on the dogs in our care. Even Pip the most non 'techie' person I have ever met uses it and is always posting pictures and videos of the dogs she is looking after! So even if you don't use Facebook now here's a very good reason to, click on this link and it will take you to our facebook page.

Thank You Roz Greening

A big EGLR thank you goes out to Roz Greening who was the photographer at the recent EGLR Dog Show. She has so far donated from Photo sales for the day £200.51 which is fantastic. Roz has asked us to remind you that you can still buy the pictures from her website if you have not already had a look pop along to her wesite and see. Click on this link to go straight there. Sad News

William Today is a very sad day as a very special dog crossed over to rainbow bridge. As some of you know William was one of Pip's dogs that was also a EGLR sponsored dog. A few weeks ago we discovered he was suffering from heart failure and today he lost his fight. Pip as you can imagine is totally devastated and needs some time to get over his passing. William was a wonderful dog that although didn't enjoy the company of humans he had a very special relationship with Pip who over years won his trust and gave him a life that wouldn't have been possible anywhere else, he loved his life at Pips and was always a happy boy playing in the garden with his doggy friends. We will miss his so much.

Say Hello to Edith

Edith This very sad old girl is called Edith, she was found unable to stand and very weak, her mouth was bleeding and she had a injury on her rear end,her claws were very over grown. Edith's mouth was just rotton, her teeth were terrible and we can't imagine how she managed to eat. The vet has estimated her age at around 15 years old. Edith has now made enough improvements to move into a foster home where she is settling in, we will update you on her progress soon.

Say Hello

Brockenlegpuppy Please say a gentle hello to this very poorly little girl. She was found with a broken wrist, she has broken all 4 bones in the wrist.Brokenlegpuppy2Brockenlegpuppy1

She is only 4 months old and feeling very sorry for herself, she is going to need a lot of TLC and also a lot of vet visits. She has been in the vets for about 10 days and she will be off to a foster home in the next day or two. She will then need to go back to the vets to be checked and re-plastered every 5 days. Fingers crossed her leg will heal if not she will need to to be operated on.

Please if anyone would like to make a donation to help cover her vets bills we will be very grateful. We will keep you updated on her progress.
