This handsome lad is Larry. Larry is about 1 year old and is deaf - but he doesn't let that bother him! He is house trained, can be left, cat friendly and would be ok with older children. Larry would like to be re-homed with another dog, preferably someone calm for him to take his cues from, but up for the occasional game! Larry is learning sign language and his new owner would need to be sympathetic to his deafness and to his ongoing training needs. Larry is a bit of a sweetheart and has the potential to be a really lovely dog.

If you would like to know more about him please give Pip or Linda a call.

Pinot

The lovely Pinot, a 9 month old Bedlington/Whippet cross is back with us, after the huge interest in her last time I am sure she will soon find her forever home. Sadly after 5 weeks her previous owners felt she hadn't bonded with their older dogs and recall was a problem.

Since she has been back with us she has really enjoyed playing with her foster sisters aged 11 months, 14 months, 2 and 6. We have been working on her recall and she is doing really well, coming back for a treat whilst out on a long lead. She is very independent, but also loves to come for a cuddle on the sofa when she is tired. She loves to play and would enjoy the company of a young dog, she can be a little boisterous with smaller dogs at times but is a quick learner and may benefit from agility training. She is vaccinated, microchipped and wormed and is looking for that special home where she can finally settle.

If you would like to know more please contact either Pip or Linda.

Arri

Hi Arri here as you can see from my pictures I am a very handsome Lrcher with my midnight black coat that shines in the sun I am a real head turner. I am a young lad just 2 years old and full of life.

I have led a bit of a sheltered life before coming to EGLR but am getting use to living in a home and the out side world.

My foster mum says I am a bit of a brain box as I have just started at agility and really enjoying it, I am as quick as a bullet and can't wait to learn more tricks. My training in other areas is coming on nicely, I can sit, walk to heal and my recall is getting better but like most youngsters I can get distracted so need reminding what is expected of me.

I currently share my foster home with several other dogs all sighthounds and would really like a home with some doggy company. My foster mum says I am not allowed to live with cats or any small furries as I like to chase them far too much and mum says this will get me into trouble so a home that will ensure that I say away from them would be great.

I have never lived with children and can be very bouncy when I get excited so maybe older children who will enjoy playing with me and help me with my training. I have been crate trained and I am happy to be left in this for a few hours as long as I have my comfortable bed and maybe a little chew just to help keep me happy. I am fully house rained and enjoy travelling in the car.

So if you are looking for a bright active boy then please pick up that phone thingy and give Pip or Linda a call.

This stunningly handsome chap is Matt who has just arrived with us. He is a beautiful Saluki cross who moves like a thoroughbred pony. He has lived with a family since he was a small puppy but unfortunately due to changed circumstances they are no longer able to keep him. Matt is now around 9 months old, is 26 inches tall and is just one gorgeous big bundle of fun, a delight to have around. He has been so good with the other dogs in the house and enjoys their company, he loves to be made a fuss of and especially loves his ball. Matt has a sweet soft nature, he is house trained and up to date with his vaccinations and worming. He is also micro chipped. He knows his basic commands, walks well on a lead and his recall is excellent. We feel he would be best in a home with older children as he is big and still a puppy so he may even grow a bit more. Oh! And one last thing, he does love to be covered up with a blanket at night!!! So if you think you would like to tuck this big baby in then please give Pip or Linda a call.

He is good with other dogs, cat friendly, good with children, house trained and can be left. He's also a bit of a monkey! Just like any 6 month old dog, he needs regular exercise and some training.
