This is Digby he has settled in well to his foster home and is eating lots of lovely chicken and rice. He gets on well with Alice his foster sister and has met a few other dogs too. He does tend to jump up when meeting humans, so needs some training to stop this. He sleeps well and is house trained.
We will update his profile once he has fully settled in but if you would like to know about him please give Pip or Linda a call.
UPDATE 19/06/12 Digby has settled well into his foster home and has made great friends with neighbouring dogs and his foster sister. He loves to run and will quite easily run around the whole field twice and still be ready for more. He enjoys playing with soft toys and tennis balls and sometimes brings them back to you!
He has the softest fur and is very gentle, everyone spends time stroking him when they meet him. He travels well in the car, sleeps well (prefers a sofa to his bed), is house trained and can be left for up to 3 hours. Expect an enthusiastic welcome when you return. He is vocal sometimes, particularly if he wants something or needs to go out, not barking but Saluki singing, as we call it.
Digby has a sensitive stomach and we are feeding him on chicken, rice, potatoes and bread, tinned food does not seem to agree with him. Apart from that he is very healthy and would like a family who will spoil him and spend time playing with him and continue with his training.
UPDATE 19/07/12 Digby is enjoying the company of another young male and will play for hours with a ball or chasing Pepi around the garden.
Hi stomach sensitivity has been sorted and he is doing well on dry food and chicken and rice. His favourite thing is to run down the tractor tracks in the fields at great speed and see if he can get to the end of the field before the rest of us.
This lovely boy would like to live in a rural area, where he can run off lead to show you how fast he can go!
