Hamish is a handsome whippet cross with a friendly, affectionate nature, he is looking for a new home as his current owners have a new baby and he is to energetic and bouncy to be around small children.
His current owners say of him, Hamish is very loving, and will follow you from room to room, shower you with licks and would happily cuddle on the sofa if given the opportunity!
He is fun-loving and bouncy, and loves to play with his toys and run about with other dogs. He has a strong chase instinct, and we cannot let him off the lead, so he would therefore benefit from a home with plenty of enclosed outdoor running space. Hamish has become slightly wary of some other dogs whilst on the lead, and would benefit from further training/socialisation.
We feel Hamish is too bouncy and energetic for our household, and would probably suit a more active home, he loves to go out for walks, and will let you know when it is time to go out! Hamish is quite excitable when greeting visitors, although we feel this is something which could be corrected with further training.
Hamish strives to be the centre of attention, therefore may enjoy being the only dog in a home, however he is currently homed with another whippet and loves to play and cuddle up with her.
Hamish is castrated, vaccinated and microchipped and stands 22 inches to the shoulder, he knows his basic commands and is housetrained and non destructive. If you want to know more about this lovely chap please call Pip or Linda.
