My beautiful Pixie one of the most amazing dogs that anyone could wish to meet, every morning I am greeted by a very loopy lucher that doesn't just wag her tail but her whole body wags in excitement as if I have been away for a year. She runs up the garden with my other dogs, charges round for 10 minutes and then flops on her favourite place on the settee waiting for breakfast.

Then its walk time out and about or a trip in the car to the local fields. Pixie loves to be outside and really enjoys all the smells and sights of the outside world and getting in all the muddy puddles. When she is suitably tired we head back home where she will curl up for the day taking it easy while I have to go to work.

My teenage daughter is normally home first, she is also greeting with the same wagging madness that we get every morning, off up the garden and then back on the settee for cuddles with my daughter, which is where I normally find them when I get home from work.

I guess you will read the above write up and think there is nothing amazing about this dog this is a normal behaviour for many lurchers, but Pixie wasn't always like this when she first arrived she was a nervous wreck un-handleable by humans and scared of her own shadow she couldn't cope with the outside world and the car was just too much to bare.

We have spent many months building Pixies confidence and opening her up to new and wonderful experiences where she has learnt not to be fearful and to trust her humans that we will never hurt her or let anything bad happen to her again. Pixie will still need some work to build on her confidence and continue her training but we now feel that Pixie is ready to move onto to a forever home with someone that will continue the work that we have done so far and give her more new experiences for her to enjoy.

Pixie with need a home without cats or small furries and no young children she can live with teenagers, she will need a home with another dog to keep her company and she will need a home with a fully enclosed garden.

Pixie is fully house trained can be left for several hours in her crate she is not destructive and she walks well on her harness and is now happy to travel in the car.

Once you have got to know Pixie she is one of the most loving and loyal dogs you could wish to meet we just hope that someone out there is looking for a very waggy lurcher to join their home. If you think that could be you then please call Pip or Linda.
