I had a great day out this week. A lady and her lurcher called Kiki came and took me out for the day. I enjoyed the journey in the car even though it made me sleepy. We went into a house for a few hours. I wandered around sniffing for a while sussing out my new surroundings. I didn't steel anything though, as I've heard that my type have a habit of doing this and I was out to make a good impression. I then made myself very comfortable on the settee and regularly kissed the lady. In fact I nearly drowned her in kisses and cuddles so she said! Then it was out for a walk - well she walked the legs off me if I'm honest, but it was great. We crossed dunes and a beach and were out for about 2 hours. Gosh I was tired afterwards. Back at the house I crashed out on the sofa again. This time I had a good cuddle with Kiki. It took me a while to understand her! I thought she was nasty and a bit mad at first, but I now see that it was all play. I haven't done much of this and didn't quite get it, but I think I could learn. Running fast through the long grass and over the dunes looked fun. I'm not so sure about the rough and tumble bit in the garden though, not yet anyway! The lady also picked me up for a cuddle. That was good. I slept on her lap for a good while. She told me I've very affectionate - whatever that means? Eventually we left Kiki at home and I went back to my usual bed. I crashed out all night. I just hope that lady comes again.
Sammy really was a pleasure to have for the day. He walked well on a harness and was very well behaved in the house/garden. He cannot be rehomed with cats. He really needs and deserves a home to call his own now. Can you help him?
