| Kitchen Raider - Kerri says |
Page 5 of 5 Lulu says: When we got our rescue saluki x lurcher she ate anything she could get her paws onto, she was in the bin and on the worktops. We decided to re-train her. Actually what we did was leave nothing out so there was no temptation. We put a lock on the kitchen door because she can open doors easily. Now, she is always going to be an opportunist, but the change is amazing! We can now go out and leave the kitchen unlocked, she no longer jumps up. If we have meat bones (chicken etc) I put them in the bin outside straight away. In short remove all temptation. I feel that our Holly is a less anxious dog because she isn't wondering where the next meal is coming from or worrying about smells from the kitchen that need to be investigated. |
