PRINCE CASPIAN
Prince Caspian is a nine month old Saluki cross that came into the rescue suffering a terrible injury to his rear leg, an injury which bears a startling similarity to Lola's, and due to the fact that both dogs came from the same area, there is a possibility that these two dogs' injuries are connected in some way.
Caspian is coping well with his treatment but is finding the fact that we have to restrict his exercise very difficult. The injury to the foot is quite horrific. As you can see from the pictures, this is requiring regular dressing changes and also antibiotics and a high dose of pain killers but aside from all this, we have found his temperament to be wonderful. He never moans when his dressings are changed and he always has a wag and a lick for the vet nurses.
Caspian loves the other dogs and doesn't understand why he can't run and play with them, but we are hoping that as long as infection can be kept under control, the wound will heal quickly and he will be ready for a new home shortly.
