This page will take you through the adoption procedure and tell you more about the rescue requirements if you are interested in adopting a Lurcher or Greyhound. The first step is to contact the rescue and discuss your requirements, domestic situation and set up.
All homes are carefully vetted and after in-depth discussions with one of the rescue members, suitable dog's details will be passed on to potential owners. You are not faced with walking up and down rows of cages to make your choice. Instead, Pip or another of our rescue volunteers will hand pick the dogs which they think best suit you. You'll then meet both them and their foster family in a friendly home environment. If you're lucky, you may get a mug of tea and some cake!
A full contract and veterinary report is provided with each dog when it is re-homed and acts as a receipt for the donation given. Example documents are available below for your perusal.

All of our dogs where possible go through a thorough assessment process. This means we try to get the right dog for the right home and the right home for the right dog. We will not re-home, under any circumstances, dogs which have proven during assessment to be unsuitable in homes with cats, dogs, children or livestock.
